Colorado Open - Pikes Peak or Bust is an Age/Skill tournament for ALL Ages including 50+. Events will be held for Men’s and Women’s singles and doubles as well as Mixed and Wheelchair Doubles. After registration closes, events will be split into 5 year age/skill groups for medaling purposes. Age groups/skill levels may be combined for bracketing.

Registration Opens March 1, 2024

Players will self rate and cannot play lower than their USA Pickleball Tournament Player Rating (UTPR). Players may only play up in skill .5 from their profile rating. Tournament Director reserves the right to correct underrated players.
We ask that all players respect the integrity of the game and of each event by entering at their most accurate skill level.

Thursday - Mixed Senior (60+ events)
Friday - Men's & Women's Doubles (60+ events)
Saturday - Men's & Women's Doubles (under 60 events)
Sunday - Mixed Doubles (under 60 events)

Format:
ALL Round Robin with playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze. All games/matches are win by 2
Most Round Robins are 1 to 15 but may change based on the number of players in the event. If an event has 7 or 8 teams, round-robin matches will be 1 to 11 by 2.
Top 4 teams go to the playoff (Lead in matches are 1 to 15 with the Gold Match with the option of 2/3-11w/2 or 1 to 15. Bronze Match 1 to 15.

Registration Open Closes April 21st

This event is open to all players from 2.5-5.0 with events broken down by skill level first and then age division dependent on the total number of teams/players registered within each skill level of play.  All teams/players will compete in a minimum of 5 games during each event with some divisions playing as many as 10-12 games based on the event format and number of teams in attendance.

Registration Rates – Early Bird $65 for first event, $30 for second event, $15 for third event available until March 25th.  $10 increase on each event at that time.

Teams must play at the skill level of the HIGHEST rated player using the pickleballbrackets.com rating (if available).

Bracket spots will be filled with the first teams to have BOTH players registered and paid. Listed partners of players who have registered will have 5 days to complete their registration and payment to hold their spot. Once the bracket is full, incomplete teams, teams not fully paid, and additional registrants will be placed on a wait list. Wait listed individuals/teams will be notified in the order in which they registered as space becomes available.

Medals will be awarded to first, second, and third place finishers in each skill bracket.

Tournament will abide by USA Pickleball Rules and all paddles must be on the USA Pickleball approved paddle list.

Head for the Steamboat Pickleball Spring Classic, March 2nd and 3rd, 2024 in beautiful Steamboat Springs, CO. Their facility houses 8 indoor pickleball courts located at the base of Mt Werner.

Final Deadline $55 Registration ends February 24
Plus $35 per event

Double-elimination tournament. Any division with 3 or fewer teams will play a round robin or will be included in the next-closest division's play.
